Jim started OceanRock Capital in 2020 after 18 years at The Riverside Company, a middle-market private equity Fund with $10B under management.  While at Riverside, Jim sourced and closed in excess of 50 acquisitions and deployed over $1.5B of equity capital. Prior to Riverside, Jim passionately worked with entrepreneurs, helping them explore buy-out and growth capital options while at Raymond James Capital. 

Earlier in his career Jim developed an expertise in corporate liquidity management sales and consultation to Fortune 250 companies while within the global finance group at First Chicago NYC and Bank of America.  Jim holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame (Go IRISH!) and an MBA from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Jim resides in Charleston, South Carolina, married to Anna and together they are raising a daughter and son – by far their greatest source of joy.
